At Fontcraft, we are committed to providing high-quality, intuitive font software that meets the needs of both beginners and professional designers. We stand behind our products, and this Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for requesting a refund for any Fontcraft software purchase, including Fontcraft Editor, Fontcraft Manager, and Fontcraft Handwriter. By purchasing any Fontcraft product, you agree to the terms set forth below.

Eligibility for Refunds

To be eligible for a refund, your request must meet the following criteria:
  • The refund request is submitted within 30 calendar days of the original purchase date. Refund requests received after this 30-day window will not be considered.
  • The software has not been misused, modified, or tampered with. This includes, but is not limited to, reverse engineering, decompiling, or sharing the software or license key with third parties.
  • You provide a valid proof of purchase (e.g., order confirmation email, receipt, or order number) when submitting your refund request.
  • The refund request is not for a free trial, free edition, or any promotional or discounted products that explicitly state no refunds are offered.

Non-Refundable Items

The following purchases are non-refundable, regardless of the circumstances:
  • Upgrade purchases (e.g., upgrading from Fontcraft Editor Standard to Professional Edition).
  • License renewal fees (if applicable) or additional support services.
  • Products purchased through third-party resellers; refunds for these purchases must be requested directly from the reseller in accordance with their own refund policy.
  • Software that has been used to create, edit, or distribute commercial fonts, unless the software is proven to be defective and unable to function as described.
  • Promotional or limited-time offer products that are explicitly marked as non-refundable at the time of purchase.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please follow these steps:
  1. Send an email to font@fontifypro.com with the subject line “Fontcraft Refund Request”.
  2. Include the following information in your email:
    1. Your full name (as it appears on the purchase receipt).
    2. Valid proof of purchase (order number, purchase date, and payment method).
    3. The specific Fontcraft product you purchased (e.g., Fontcraft Manager Professional Edition).
    4. A clear and concise reason for your refund request.
    5. Your preferred refund method (original payment method is recommended for faster processing).
  3. Our support team will review your request within 2–3 business days and respond to confirm receipt and eligibility.
  4. If your refund is approved, we will process the refund within 5–7 business days. The time it takes for the refund to appear in your account may vary depending on your payment provider and banking institution.

Defective Software Refunds

If you encounter a technical defect that prevents the Fontcraft software from functioning as described in the product documentation, and our support team is unable to resolve the issue within a reasonable timeframe (typically 5 business days), you may be eligible for a full refund, even if the 30-day window has passed. To qualify for a defective software refund:
  • You must first contact our support team at font@fontifypro.com to report the defect and provide detailed information about the issue (e.g., operating system, error messages, steps to reproduce the problem).
  • Our support team will attempt to troubleshoot and resolve the issue. If the defect cannot be resolved, we will initiate a full refund.

Refund Processing and Notes

  • All refunds are processed in the original currency of purchase.
  • We reserve the right to deduct any applicable fees (e.g., payment processing fees) from the refund amount, though this is rare and only applies in exceptional cases.
  • Once a refund is processed, your license to use the Fontcraft software will be deactivated. You must uninstall the software from all devices and destroy any copies of the software or documentation.
  • Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and Fontcraft reserves the right to approve or deny refunds at its sole discretion, in accordance with this policy.
