Textures
Bring Depth, Realism and Unique Style to Your Fonts
Overview
Fontcraft includes powerful texture and styling tools that let you add depth, shading, patterns, and custom surface effects directly to your glyph outlines. Whether you’re designing distressed fonts, textured lettering, stamped effects, chalkboard styles, or realistic hand-drawn textures, the built-in texture system gives you creative control without leaving the font editor.
Key Texture Features
Custom Texture Mapping
Apply seamless and custom textures to individual glyphs or entire character sets. Control scale, rotation, opacity, and blending to achieve exactly the look you want. Import your own PNG, JPG, and grayscale texture images for fully personalized styling.
Distress & Wear Effects
Easily add grunge, eroded, stamped, printed, and vintage-style texture effects to fonts. Perfect for logotypes, apparel designs, poster typography, and retro branding projects. Adjust intensity and randomness to avoid repetitive patterns.
Shading & Depth Tools
Add inner shadows, bevels, gradients, and contour shading to glyphs. Create embossed, engraved, 3D, and metallic-looking characters while maintaining clean vector outlines for reliable font rendering.
Hand-Drawn & Organic Textures
Simulate pencil, chalk, charcoal, marker, and watercolor-style textures. Ideal for creating handwriting fonts, signature fonts, and artistic display typefaces that feel natural and unique.
Non-Destructive Editing
All texture effects are applied non-destructively, so you can adjust, remove, or replace them at any time without damaging your original glyph outlines. This keeps your font editable and compatible across all platforms.
Batch Processing
Apply the same texture, style, or effect across multiple characters, weight variations, or entire font families in one click. Save hours of manual work and maintain consistent styling across your project.
Preview & Export Control
Preview textured fonts in real time at any size. Textured fonts export to standard font formats including TTF, OTF, WOFF, and WOFF2, ensuring compatibility with websites, apps, design software, and print workflows.
